Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has recently announced that the JEE (Main) and NEET will now be held twice a year. The NTA will also conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET). All these tests were earlier organised by the CBSE.
The National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET), for admission into medical and dental courses, will be conducted in the months of February and May. The exam will be conducted over many days, and students can now choose a date for the exam.

Exam dates: February 3 to February 17, 2019 (8 different sittings, and candidate can choose any one)

NEET UG 2019 Pattern - The NEET is a three-hour exam including total 180 questions from three sections – physics, chemistry and biology. 90 questions would be from biology and 45 each from physics and chemistry. The whole of Class 11 and 12 standard NCERT textbooks are to be prepared. Every correct answer gives plus four marks and every incorrect answer gives a negative mark. Questions that are not not attempted by a candidate do not have any penalty.
