CAT 2018 Notification | CAT 2018 Pattern


The Common Admission Test for admissions to IIMs across India will be conducted on Sunday, November 25, 2018. IIM Calcutta is entrusted to hold the examination this year in 147 cities across India. CAT 2018 online registration starts August 8 and will continue till September 19, 2018. CAT 2018 admit card is to be released on October 24, and students can download via the official website, iimcat.ac.in.

IIM CAT 2018: Exam pattern
CAT 2018 Exam Pattern: Duration of CAT 2018 examination is 180 minutes. 60 minutes will be given for answering questions in each section and they would not be able to switch from one section to another. The questions will be in three sections, A. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, B. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, C. Quantitative Ability.

CAT 2018: Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification:
Candidates applying must have a Bachelor's degree, with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA (45 per cent in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PWD) categories]), awarded by any university or educational institution. Candidates who are appearing for the final year of Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are waiting results can also apply.

The CAT 2018 examination is held for admission to 20 IIMs and other institutes across India:

Selection procedure:
Candidates selection is based on the basis of the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interviews (PI) round.

IIM CAT FEES
Registration fee for SC, ST and PwD category candidates is Rs. 950.
For candidates belonging to any and all other categories, the fee is Rs. 1900.

Candidates who pass the exam are eligible for admission to management courses, including PGP, PGDM, PGPEM, EPGP, PGPBM, PGPEX, at different IIMs across India. CAT 2018 results would be released around the second week of January.
