JEE(Main) April-2019 Exam Dates Changed



National Testing Agency (NTA) has changed the Joint Entrance Examination Jee Main Exam Date 2019 April. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be held from April 7 to April 20 onwards. Now Paper 2 – B. Arch/ B. Planning will be held on April 7. Paper 1 (B.E/ B.Tech) will be held on April 8, 9, 10 and 12.

The JEE Main 2019 admit cards will be released on March 20 on the official website – jeemain.nic.in. The Election Commission of India has announced Lok Sabha General Elections 2019 on April 11, 18, 23 and 29 as well as on May 6, 12 and 19, 2019. Jee Main examination consist of two papers: Paper 1 for BE/B.Tech and Paper 2 for B. Arch/B. Planning. The exam will be held in an online, computer-based mode only. The drawing test for Paper 2 will be held offline. Paper 1 consist of objective type questions and paper 2 will have mathematics and aptitude section as an objective type and drawing test will be subjective.

The exam duration is three hours. Paper 1 will be held in two shifts; the morning shift starting from 9:30 am and ending at 12:30 pm, and the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Paper 2 will be held in one shift. The language of questions in the JEE Main exam will be Hindi, English and Gujarati. Four marks will be given for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The individual Candidates can see their exact date and shift from their respective Admit Cards, which would be uploaded in the Examination Portal (www.jeemain.nic.in) on 20.03.2019.
