IMU CET 2019 Registration Details


The Indian Maritime University has invited applications for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at its official website, imu.edu.in.
All admissions to the various UG (except BBA), PG and Research Programmes of the IMU and its Affiliated Institutes for the Academic Y ear 2019-20 will be allotted via an online common entrance test (CETs). Indian Maritime University CET exam is scheduled to be held on June 1 between 11 am to 2 pm.

The IMU CET registration 2019 process starts from April 1 and ends on May 5. Candidates can submit application forms till May 8, 2019. BBA programme applications are accepted without CET. Candidates who wish to apply for BBA can do so before June 5, 2019.

Indian Maritime University admissions 2019: Exam pattern

The Syllabus for the various CETs will be as follows:
a) Common Online CET for all UG Programmes [except BBA programme]
i. No. of Questions – 200 multiple choice questions.
ii. Syllabus - English, General Aptitude, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics at Plus 2 level.

b) Common Online CET for the MBA (Port and Shipping Management), MBA (International Transportation and Logistics) and the M.Sc (Commercial Shipping and Logistics) Programmes
i. No. of Questions – 120 multiple choice questions.
ii. Syllabus - Quantitative ability, Data interpretation, Verbal ability and Logical reasoning.

c) Common Online CET for M.Tech (Marine Engineering and Management), M.Tech (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering) and M.Tech (Dredging and Harbour Engineering) Programmes
i. No. of Questions – 120 multiple choice questions.
ii. Syllabus – English, Mathematics and one of Mechanical Engineering/Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering/Civil Engineering.

MBA entrance exam will have 120 MCQs on quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability and logical reasoning. MTech courses will have 120 MCQs on English, Mathematics and one of Mechanical Engineering, naval, Architecture, Marine Engineering or Civil Engineering.

There will be no negative marking. The exam will be held in a single shift across 36 cities. Candidates need to give three preferences for the exam centre.

Indian Maritime University admissions 2019: Counselling
Candidates who pass the CET exams need to choose programme and campus they wish to apply to. Online payment of Rs 10,000 as a counselling fee will be applicable.

Candidates will be allotted seats based on rank. After confirming a seat, candidates need to pay Rs 25,000 to book that seat. The amount is non-refundable. If a candidate fails to book a seat, they will be dropped off list and seat will move to the next candidate.

Indian Maritime University 2019 Application:
Candidates will have to apply for the CET on the official website, imu.edu.in an exam registration fee of Rs 1000 will be applicable. For SC/ST category candidates the fee is Rs 700. For BBA, the registration fee is Rs 200 and Rs 150 for reserved category candidates.
