JEE ADVANCED RESULTS 2018: HOW TO CHOOSE IITS AND ITS BRANCH?

Before applying for admission to 23 IITs, 31 NITSs, 23 IIITs and 23 GFTIs, you can make a list of courses and institutes you can apply on the basis of JEE Advanced rank. You can check last year's cut-off list to get a brief idea of the courses you can apply to. A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in consecutive years.

JEE Advanced 2018 Result: Important Dates

Counselling and registration Starts: June 15
First seat allotment to be announced on: June 27
Two mock allotments: June 19 and June 24
Rectify choices (Last date for registration): till June 25

JEE Advanced 2018 was held by IIT Kanpur on May 20. Both Paper I and Paper II examinations were computer-based. Around 233,000 students qualified for the JEE Advanced 2018 examination. 166,204 students appeared for the JEE Advanced 2018.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 100 institutes for the academic year 2018-19. It includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs).

The registration and choice filling for the academic programme under the JoSAA starts on June 15. Candidates who appeared for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) can fill their choice from June 18 onwards.
