The NEET 2017 online counselling schedule released at  www.mcc.nic.in

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 results on the official websites, cbseresults.nic.in, cbseneet.nic.in. Nearly 6.11 lakh candidates have passed the exam and qualified. A total of 11, 38,890 students appeared for NEET examination, held in 10 different languages across 1,921 exam centres including 1,522 NRIs, 480 OCIs, 70 PIOs and 613 foreign students.

Punjab's Navdeep Singh has secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 rank by scoring 697 marks in the male category and Nikita Goyal in the female category, emerged as topper from Punjab. SCHEDULE FOR ONLINE COUNSELING (ALLOTMENT PROCESS) FOR
NEET ALL INDIA QUOTA UG (MBBS/BDS) SEATS – 2017

NEET 2017 Registration, Choice Filling (From 5th ) & Indicative Seat: July 3 to July 11 (Registration will be open up to 05:00 PM of 11th July 2017 only)
Choice filling and Locking: July 12(up to 05:00 PM of 12th July, 2017)
Process of NEET 2017 Seat Allotment - Round 1: July 13 to July 14
NEET 2017 Counselling Round 1 Result publication: July 15
Reporting at the Allotted Medical/Dental College against 1st Round:July 16 to July 22 (up to 05:00 PM of July 22)
Exercising of Choices and Locking(Round 2) & New Registration: August 1 to August 4 (Registration will be open up to 05:00 PM of August 4 only)
Process of NEET 2017 Counselling Seat Allotment - Round 2: August 5 to August 7
NEET 2017 Counselling Round 2 Result publication: August 8
Reporting at the Allotted Medical/Dental College against Round 2: August 9 to August 16 (up to 05:00 PM of August 17)
Transfer of vacant seats to State Quota: August 16 (After 05:00 PM)

Last year's result analysis:
A total of 1, 71,329 candidates from the general category qualified in the CBSE NEET examination in 2016.
Out of the total, in all 2, 26,049 girls qualified for admissions than 1,83,424 qualified boys.

NEET is held for admission into MBBS and BDS courses across India. NEET exam includes 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from physics, chemistry and biology (botany and zoology). The duration was three hours.
