CAT 2017 Online Registration
The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 registration started today on August 9 on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow will conduct computer-based CAT 2017 on November 26 in two sessions. The CAT examination is held by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes. The CAT 2017 application process last date is September 20 till 5 pm only. Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML) admission chairperson and strategic management faculty Neeraj Dwivedi has been appointed as the convener for CAT 2017.
Last year, 2,32,434 candidates applied for CAT.
Steps to apply for CAT 2017:
Visit the official website, iimcat.ac.in
Click on the relevant link then click on the 'Registrations'
Enter all the needed details in given format and click submit.
Educational qualification:
Candidates who wish to appear for the CAT 2017 examination must have at least a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised institute/university.
Candidates who are in their final year or are waiting for results to be declared can also apply.
Application fee:
Candidates from the General category need to pay Rs 1800 for application process while SC/ST/PwD category candidates need to pay Rs 900.
Selection procedure:
Candidates selection will be done on the basis of Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interviews (PI) round.
The Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has recently announced to increase the intake capacity to 20,000.
